5 Cool Things About Peterborough | Blogtober 2016 | Me Becoming Mum

Today's post for #Blogtober16 is about the place that I live, so here's the top five things that I love about living in Peterborough.

The Coca-Cola Lorry Visited Here

This has got to be number one on my list of things I love about Peterborough. Not only is my daughter growing up in this lovely city, but it has awesome events like this happen!
I have never experienced anything like the joy on my girl's face when she saw all that came along with this lorry - the selfie-stand; the singers; and the ladies dressed up as elves amongst other things!

R Took Her First Steps of Independence Here

When I decided that I wished to return to work part time, I decided that it would also be a good idea to have Squidgy in nursery. This both gave her independence from being constantly around me, and gave her a chance to meet new people and make her own friends. I'm so glad we did, she absolutely loves it there and looks forward to her two mornings a week every day that she is not there.

It Has the Best Farm & Zoo Here

The fact is, that R absolutely loves animals. We are so lucky that we have a local zoo and a local farm which are both perfect for day trips out. The experience never gets old, no matter how many times we visit - especially as we often share it with friends and family.

We Celebrated Our First Rainbow Baby's First Birthday Here

Squidgy was our first rainbow baby, and being able to celebrate her first and consequent birthdays here. We had a wonderful day on her first birthday, complete with a trip to the local farm.

Of course, no birthday would be complete without a party to celebrate too! How better to celebrate than to have our little princess dressed up as a princess and party into the night?!

We Will Welcome Our New Family Member Here

Little L, our second rainbow baby, will be the most amazing reason for loving Peterborough. She will be brought into the world at our local hospital, Peterborough City.
