My Mummy Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Jessica from Beauties and the Bibs to take part in the 'Mummy Tag'.  Simply put, it's a post where I answer some questions that will tell you a little more about me. So here goes...

Are you a working mom or a stay at home mom?

I would consider myself to be a stay at home mom, but I also work. I run Mama Naii's Crochet, my own little business for which I make handmade crochet items.

Would you have it any other way?

As much as I love being at home with my girl, it is nice that I have a few hours a week to spend out in public, child-free and in the company of adults. I'm not sure how I will feel when I have two little ones to be apart from though!

Do you co-sleep?

We co-slept with R in a moses basket until she was 12 weeks and then she moved into her own room. We occassionally bed-share, but this is usually only if R is feeling unwell. We do, however, try and get her back in her own bed (once she's asleep) when possible.

What is your must have item for your child / baby?

My daughter doesnt really have much that she needs to be honest. She's semi-attached to her dummy and has a lamb toy called, 'Larma' that she insists on sleeping with at night though.

How many kids do you plan on having?

As many as we are blessed with. Although with how rough my pregnancies have both been, I'm not sure if I could cope with doing it all again.

Date night: How often do you have them?

We try and have at least one night a week when we have a nice meal and watch something nice together. In terms of actually going out, I can't remember when we last did that.

What is your child’s favourite show?

Definitely Paw Patrol! She will watch the same episodes over and over again. She also loves Dora, Diego & Mickey Mouse.

Name one thing you brought before you had a baby and never ended up using?

I literally can't think of anything that we didn't use... I'd imagine there is some toys around that R was uninterested in. That being said, we can use them for other children, so it's not a problem!

What is your child’s favourite food?

Broccoli and cauliflower; however she would not turn down chocolate if it was on offer!

How many cars does your family have?

Just the one... but I'm the only one with a full drivers license so we don't need any more than that!

Talk about your weight gain, before pregnancy, during pregnancy, after pregnancy and now.

I was a 16-18 before having R, and despite losing weight during my pregnancy with her, and breastfeeding her for 9 months, I stayed in a size 16. I am down to a 12-14 in maternity clothes this time around, and my plan is to maintain the healthy eating and exercise to try and be in a 12 after Little L is born.

What is your dream holiday with your kids?

I would love to go to Disneyland Florida... I'd also love to take them to Tenerife, where I have a lot of happy memories. R would love Loro Parque just as much as John and I did when we visited in the past.

What is your dream holiday without the kids?

This isn't something I have really thought about since having R. I would love to take my hubby back to Cyprus and relive the amazing memories we made there on our honeymoon.

How has your life changed since having kids?

This is something that I have already written about here. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Finish this sentence, ”My heart melts when...”

... R wants to snuggle, cuddle, kiss and do 'noses' (Eskimo kisses) with her baby sister bump.

Where do you shop for your kids?

The majority of R and L's clothes come from Primark as my hubby works there. I also do a bit of shopping in Asda and Matalan - or wherever there is a sale!

What is your favourite makeup and skincare product?

I don't wear make-up that often, but my make-up bag is full of AVON products when I do.

For skincare my current go-to is the amazing mum to be selection by Sanctuary. John bought a gift bag of it for me as a treat and now I wouldn't do without it.

Huggies or Pampers?

I'm a cloth bum mum, so neither!

Have you always wanted kids?

Ever since I was little the two main things I wanted in life was to be a wife (with a big princess wedding) and a mummy. I have now full-filled those dreams!

What is the best part of being a mom?

The unconditional love that you have for and from your children.

So that's me in a nutshell.

I would love to get to know more about some other mums out there so I'm tagging:
