I love taking part in blogger tags, and it is a great way for you, my readers, to get to know me a little better. Not only this but I am also able to tag other bloggers, so that you can check out some other awesome blogs too. I was tagged by the beautiful Nadine from Then I Became Mum, to take part in the Sunshine Blogger's Quiz!
The following are the ten questions that Nadine has asked me to answer:
What is the meaning behind your blog name?
If you read my "Why my Blog is Called, 'Me Becoming Mum'" post back in October, you will already know the answer to this one! The name is pretty straight forward to be fair, my blog is all about my life becoming a mama to my beautiful rainbow babies.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because of a friend (a fellow mama, and foodie blogger!) who said that I would be good at it and should try it out... so I did, and I have fallen in love with blogging as a result! Blogging is a great way for me to get my thoughts and feelings out and is also a fantastic way for me to have a bit of time to myself where I do something for me. I have always loved to write, and being able to write here, and share my published pieces with others is something of a dream come true for me!
What’s your happiest memory?
I don't think that I could choose a single memory, as there are a few in my life that are up there together as my "happy bubble". Marrying the love of my life is certainly one of them, and the first time I saw each of my girls smile at me are two more. I think seeing how happy Squidgy was to be a big sister, and the unconditional love that she showed that first time she met Little L has got to be nearly the number one above the others, because it made me so proud, and so happy, and it was a moment that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
How do you motivate yourself?
I'm not going to lie, this one is something that I still trying to figure out. I struggle on a daily basis with motivating myself to do things, but I think that the one thing that keeps me going, and gets me up (quite literally) every morning, is my two gorgeous children. My husband and my girls are my whole world, and without them I have no idea what I would be doing. They complete me and they are the reason I do everything I do. My motivation comes from knowing I am setting a great example for my children, and that I am creating a loving home for them to grow up in, and my husband to return from work to.
What do you like to do on a rainy day?
I love to spend time with my children no matter the weather. Some rainy days we will go out and splash in the puddles, but to be honest I prefer not to get wet or go out if it's rough weather. Mostly we will stay in doors and find some kind of activity to do together, from watching a movie to painting endless reams of paper. Luckily my daughter is easily amused so it isn't a hard task to find ways to keep her entertained!
What’s your favourite ice cream flavour?
I love a beautiful raspberry ripple but recently I have fallen in love with an amazing clotted cream vanilla ice cream that I found on offer in Iceland, which is totally lush!
If you could go on holiday anywhere, where would you go?
I would love to go to Disney World Resort in Florida. I wrote about it in my "Place I Would Most Like to Visit" piece! We are saving up to be able to go, and would love to go when our children are older and will be able to have a greater appreciation for the trip, be less of a pain to take on an plane, and of course will be able to remember the experience too!
What’s your goal for the next year?
I want my blog to grow and become a sensation. My biggest goal is to be able to reach people that need to hear the truth behind parenting, and those that need to know that they are not alone, that we are all going through it and that we can face everything that comes our way and make it out the other side. I would love to be able to increase my social media presence and begin to really make a difference with my writing.
What was the last thing you ate?
The most amazing lemon meringue pie. Literally so, so amazing.
What is your ultimate pet peeve?
People chewing near me. The same effect that nails on a chalkboard has for some is the way that I feel when I hear people eating. It's just gross and I can't cope with it. Just don't do it. It doesn't even have to be opened-mouthed slobbery nonsense. Just the chewing sound is enough to send a shiver down my spine!
Thanks again to Nadine for nominating me to take part. I now pass on the blogger tag to the following lovelies:
Emily from Confessions of a Slummy Mummy
Samantha from Bespoke Buckley
The questions that I would like them to answer are these:
- Why did you choose your blog name?

- If you could choose one person from the past to meet up with for a coffee, who would it be (and why)?
- What is the best childhood memory that you have?
- Who is your biggest idol?
- What did you want to be when you grew up (and did you achieve your goal)?
- What was the best (or worst!) date that you have ever been on?
- If you were a Disney character, who would you be (and why)?
- What is you ultimate comfort food?
- Where do you see yourself in five years time?
