I wasn't really sure where to start with this one. Yes I know - I was the one who came up with the the themes for this month - but I still struggled to nail down what to write.
I settled for writing a post on the activities that I most enjoy doing with R, and that hopefully we will soon be continuing to do but with the addition of Little L joining us.
One great thing about having a little girl, is that she too loves to have a wander around the shopping centre. It doesn't matter where we go, or what we're there for. She does however, very much enjoy getting her feet measured and buying new shoes! Seems she's a girl after my own heart!
Oftentimes, these shopping trips will also result in a cheeky trip to Costa, either to see daddy when he can pop out of work on his break, or meet a friend, or simply as a reward for R being so good.
There is nothing cuter than seeing her with a little Babychino!
Messy play and fun with paint...
This is one I never thought I would enjoy as much as I do. I am a little OCD when it comes to mess and grime and dirtiness.
However, it has been so much fun to enjoy time with R making, 'art'.
Visits to the local playground...
From the first time we visited the playground near our home last year, to now, our girl has absolutely loved going there. Nowadays she even knows how to get there and independently strides next to me, with such purpose all the way there.
It's amazing to see the change over time, for example her decision that she is now too grown up for the baby swing and insisting on being allowed to go on the "proper" swing as she called it!
Feeding the ducks (geese and swans too)...
This is always fun! It doesn't matter how old you are, you are never too old to visit the river, lake or local pond and feed the ducks. The words, 'duck' and, 'quack' was one of R's first words and she has loved them ever since she was a tiny baby!
It doesn't matter whether I'm reading them or she's having a go on her own, R absolutely loves books. I have always been a bookworm and it's so nice to have something that she and I can share together.
Her favourite books at the moment are anything with a princess in it; especially Cinderella and The Little Mermaid.
