Happy Boxing Day! Today is a day to spend with family - that was the whole purpose of today (despite the shops beginning to open and it becoming commercialised) so that is what I am going to do. As with most years, that means chilling out and watching loads of Christmas movies so here's a roundup of my favourites!
Christmas movies are something that I look forward to every year, but last year it became even more exciting as our daughter was at an age where she was beginning to enjoy sitting and watching movies. This meant that we were able to share them with her for the first time, and this year we are looking forward to doing so again.
This post will show you all my favourite movies, that we will soon be beginning to watch in our home.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
I had not seen this before I started dating John and he could not believe that I had never watched it. I'm glad he made me watch it. It is absolutely hilarious, and I can't wait to watch it together again this year.
I think it may be one that we wait for a few more years to introduce to R however...
You don't know what you're missing if you haven't watched Elf yet. Christmas and Will Ferrell - what could possible be better?
The Santa Claus
I love a feel good movie - especially at Christmas. The Santa Claus ticks all the boxes for me when it comes to what I want to watch at this time of year.
I never really did enjoy the others as much as I did the first, but I will watch Tim Allen get fat with a big white beard every year!
The Polar Express
I love this movie - there isn't much else that I need to say!
I think everyone loves a bit of Home Alone, even if they did start getting a little silly as they kept releasing yet another sequel.
It's one of those totally silly, slapstick humor movies that you just can't get enough of and have to watch every year.
I had never watched this before Christmas 2015, when I watched it for the first time with my girl. We both enjoyed it immensely, and it was one of the only movies that she sat in front of and watched all the way through that Christmas.
I'm sure there are plenty of other movies that we will watch together this Christmas - some of which will depend on what's on TV as it will be the quick and easy way to watch when I'm tied down breast feeding a newborn!
What are your favourite movies to watch at Christmas?
