If there is one thing that many people who know me would be able to tell you, it’s that I have a massive creative streak. Whether it’s arts and crafts, baking or writing, I have a part of me that has always loved being creative. Let’s be honest, I’m good at it too! Here is my own, made up poem for Christmas.
It's my favourite time of year,
The time I hold so dear.
When days grow short, and the nights draw in,
As the chilly winds blow, that's when Christmas begins.
When the lights are strung and we hang a wreath on the door,
As the children get excited, and Christmas drinks are poured.
We go to visit Santa and put gifts under the tree,
We hang out our stockings, for filling with treats.
We sing Christmas carols and joyful tunes,
Plus dress up in funny jumpers that make us look like total loons.
I could list a thousand or more reasons,
Why Christmas is my favourite season.
However the best part, atleast it is for me,
Is the magic of Christmas in my children's faces I see.
So I sometimes have moments of genius where I can be quite creative, I’ll let you decide if this poem counts as one of those moments!
