For those of you who missed it, we had a little visitor during the days of advent - our Elf on a Shelf returned from Santa! Here is a round up of all the antics that our elf, Belle, got up to this year.
Thanks to Jaymee over at The Mum Diaries, I was able to do very little in the way of having to come up with ideas - as she came up with the guidelines. The idea was that we were to do daily blog posts - but with a new baby on the way it didn't seem practical. Instead, I used the daily titles to create social media posts, each of which can be found below!
DAY 1: WELCOME
Hi lovelies... she's back! Belle the Elf has popped back to our home, from the North Pole; and she has brought with her R's first advent calendar!
Unlike the traditional EOAS elves many people have, we have a cute handmade elf made by Beau Peep.
DAY 2: MISCHIEF
My hubby had the day off today, so we have finally got our Christmas decorations up and the house looks amazing again this year.
While we were busy it would seem Belle found my box of Quality Street and decided to help herself! Cheeky elf!
DAY 3: FRIDGE RAIDER
Oops, it looks like Belle found the sponge cake I had put into the fridge to stale slightly over night ready to make cake pops!
Look at the mess she's made with those crumbs!
DAY 4: FUNNY FACES
It would appear that Belle found my Christmas selfie kit and decided to take some funny selfies with some of the props!
They really make me giggle... do you haveone of these kits? Mine was a Christmas present I got from my best friend 😂
DAY 5: HANGING AROUND
I'm not even sure how this cheeky elf managed to get all the way up to this snowflake hanging from the ceiling above our advent calendars; much to R's amusement I had to rescue her!
DAY 6: DECORATING THE TREE
I think Belle felt a little left out that me and R decorated the tree, today we found her hanging a couple of extra red baubles up!
DAY 7: TOILET PAPER
I found our cheeky elf just in time I think... she was about to start adding eyes and buttons with my eye liner!
I love that she's had to dig through the different toilet tissue we have stashed in the bathroom to find the white rolls!
R thought the toilet paper Snowman was pretty awesome though.
DAY 8: A LETTER FROM SANTA
Today we found Belle patiently waiting by her door with a little magical golden envelope.
When we opened it up it turned into a full size letter from Santa! R loved the magic of it all!
Turns out Santa’s heard that she’s been good this year, and has been looking after mummy when she’s not well... so it’s looking good for her getting a stocking full of lovely gifts this Christmas!
ELF ON A SHELF DAY 9: SNOWBALL FIGHT
In lieu of real snow, our elf on a shelf has made snowballs from our toilet paper and is having a snowball fight with R's favourite toy - Skye from Paw Patrol!
The cheeky pair have used Little L's Christmas gifts as barriers to hide behind too! Whatever next.
DAY 10: FROZEN
Turns out that R and Belle have something in common... a love for Frozen!
I think Belle must have gotten bored of me constantly playing Christmas music; so she’s taken matters into her own hands!
DAY 11: HIDE AND SEEK
Belle didn't have to go far to find this hiding place!
Jumping off the mantel where her door is, she's squeezed herself in the gap behind the fire.
Good job it's not on or she might get a little hot!
DAY 12: CHOCOLATE
On The Mum Diaries list, today is meant to be, 'Chocolate Poop' themed. However as R is still so young I didn't think she'd understand.
Besides, bad mummy forgot to put the Christmas tree chocolates up - So Belle very kindly brought them over for us to do!
DAY 13: FRIENDS
Belle was having a lovely tea party with R's two rag dolls and R decided she wanted to join in too!
Now the four of them are sat on my bed enjoying cups of tea, complete with sugar and milk!
DAY 14: ELF LOVES PANTS
R thought today’s elfy antics was most amusing... and kept saying, “But Mummy, they’re too big for Belle!” (Whilst laughing hysterically, obviously!)
Belle doesn’t seem to mind though, and especially loves R’s Frozen themed knickers as they’re wintery!
DAY 15: HOSTAGE
Sitting on top of R’s role play kitchen, we found Belle holding Olaf hostage for a giant, tight hug!
All while Sven attempts to get him back...
It’s a good job Olaf likes warm hugs!
DAY 16: SUMMER TIME
Today’s post is a little bit of a lazy one for me... I had no idea what to do!
R was less than impressed by the fact that Belle had stolen her favourite Frozen sunglasses though!
DAY 17: MOVIE NIGHT
I think Belle’s choice of movie for today is definitely a good one! She’s a bit keen though, as it’s morning and she has already set up the PS4!
Would you believe that we haven’t watched any Christmas movies yet 😱
About time we get that recfified!
DAY 18: PARTY!
In honour of the fact that today is Little L's official due date, Belle is having a little party with my Bailey's and some balloons!
I'm not sure R really understood what the Bailey's was but she loved the balloons!
DAY 19: SNOWMAN
Today Belle discovered our Snowman doorstop, and decided to get a piggy-back ride!
I don't know who was more fascinated, R or our cats!
DAY 20: GONE FISHING
I kind of ran out of time (thanks to having a baby) to get some accessories for today's theme... so I cheated and did it on my phone.
Don't think R was as impressed as all the other days 😂
DAY 21: LEAVE AN ACTIVITY
Our daughter absolutely loves drawing and today’s activity that Belle has brought for her is a colouring book and crayons!
One happy toddler, that’s for sure.
DAY 22: SNOW ANGEL
This cheeky elf got into my baking cupboard and got out some flour to make snow angels in the kitchen...
Such a massive mess for me to clean up!
DAY 23: LOVE OF READING
R and I love to read books together - infact R is quite happy to have anyone read her books! She, of course, will read books too (her memory is amazing and often she will repeat the stories while turning the pages even though she can't properly read yet!)
So you can imagine the joy on her face when she saw Belle sitting reading the story of Christmas in the morning light!
One of the best reactions yet!
DAY 24: CHRISTMAS EVE
After all the mischief and fun that Belle has had in the last 23 days, it's nice to see that she's being helpful today.
She's going through and checking I haven't forgotten anything in our family Christmas Eve box!
Thank you for reading; and from my family, our lovely Elf and me - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
