Living Arrows 10/52 | Me Becoming Mum

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Kahlil Gibran

I had a pretty rough start to the week, but despite emotions running high we've made it through.

Pickle

It seems there are a lot more photos of Pickle these days. With Squidgy in school during the week there are fewer opportunities to feature her. I absolutely love this photo of John with Pickle. She is laughing because she pushed her dad's head away as he was trying to kiss her and it's a perfectly captured, real moment.

My girls

On Friday it was International Women's Day and to celebrate I took a picture of my girls and me to share. I also wrote a short message to them which you can read below:

To my girls on International Women's Day.

Be you, always.

Stand up for what you believe in, and don't be afraid to express your opinions.

Never let anyone tell you that you can't achieve your dreams. Work hard to reach them.

Continue to be compassionate, and kind and grow in your love of caring for others.

Never underestimate, how powerful you can be in bringing about change, where it needs to happen.

Be honest, be humble, lift others up, and always believe in yourselves.

I am so proud of the beautiful, clever, independent little ladies you're growing up to be. I love you now and always, and feel blessed to be your mama.

Happy International Women's Day. Here's to strong women may be know them, may we be them, and may we raise them.

So that concludes another week of Living Arrows. What have you been up to with your family this past week? Let me know in the comments below.
