“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”
Taking part in Donna's #LivingArrows linkie every week is something that I am seriously enjoying, especially as it means that I get to reflect on all the good times that I have had in the week leading up to writing and publishing my post.
My photo this week is of my girls from Thursday night. I was running a bath and getting stuff ready for them to go to bed, and in order to make sure I knew that Little L was safe, I popped her into her cot. Squidgy was reading a book in her room when suddenly she went quiet. As the stair gates were closed and I was in the bathroom with the running bath I knew that she couldn't be doing anything unsafe but the quiet was suspicious.
When I called her to ask her where she was she said, "here mummy!" her voice drifting to me from Little L's nursery. What I wasn't expecting when I walked into the room was to find her in L's cot bed with her. Turns out she has worked out a way to climb in and out of it using L's toy box. Hats of to her ingenuity but I can already see it spelling bad influence when Little L is old enough to move as Squidgy is blatantly going to end up teaching her to escape!
For now, it is simply adorable, she wanted to talk to and spend time with her baby sister and the two of them were being super cute together smiling and chatting (or in L's case cooing) to each other. It's moments like this that I remember exactly why I love being a mama.
