My Photo of the Week // Living Arrows 22/52

β€œYou are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

Last week something terrible happened in Manchester that shocked the world, and I was one of those parents that looked at my children and felt my heart pang for all those who wouldn't have their children returning home that day.

This photo of me and my girls is one that I took on that day, as I held them for a little longer than normal that morning! I love that my toddler can still smile and is young enough and innocent enough to not really know what is going on! I am not sure how I will be able to explain such tragedies to her as she grows up!

The next photo is not of my children at all, but of me. The quote does, after all, state that we are the bows from which they fly!

I am raising two girls, and for me this is a massive thing, because first and foremost, I want them to love themselves for who they are. I can't say that I always do, this photo however, I truly love!

It is me taking a selfie to show off my new tee from MAMA by Rachael Kellett and despite the lack of make-up and the fact I haven't done my hair, I think I look great.  I think it is so important to love yourself, and I am glad to know that I have this reminder that even without the painted face and fancy hair, I am beautiful!
