Living Arrows 35/52 | Me Becoming Mum

“You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth”

With a trip to Legoland and a weekend spent at Egham Royal Show it was hard to choose the photos to share for this week's Living Arrows.

Squidgy

At Legoland

There are so many amazing pictures of Squidgy from Legoland, and I will be writing up a post on our time there so I can share some more but I love this one. Squidgy loves the LEGO friends, and despite in the past being terrified of anyone dressed up or in a suit, she was so excited to meet Emma and Mia!

At Egham Royal Show

I have been struggling with Squidgy asking me to teach her to read and write, but then running away or getting frustrated (which equally frustrates me). I realised this weekend that actually although structured learning is a struggle for her, she is remarkably smart and ahead of the game in so many other ways. At Egham show she had a chance to try milking a (pretend) cow, and she excelled at it!

Pickle

At Legoland

This photo of Pickle is from Legoland's Duplo Valley, where she spent hours playing, running around and exploring. I can't tell you how amazing it felt to see the joy on her face as she found new things she could do independently, from climbing up to sliding down without any help at all.

At Egham Royal Show

In spite of the bump she had in the morning, Pickle loved exploring Egham Royal Show on Saturday and had the best time on some of the rides available there. Her favourite, by far, was the swing ride and she giggled and shouted excitedly the whole time she was on it (and cried when it was time to get off!)

This week we have a quiet one ahead of starting school and my brother's wedding next week, but hopefully the weather will dry up a bit so we can get outside and bring you some lovely photos next week.

Psst... Did you see last week's #LivingArrows post? Check it out here.
