Q is for... Questions About Me

Today's post for #AlphaBlogBites is all about answering a quiz about me! Some of it you may already know, some of it will be new!

What year were you born in?

I was born in 1991; the year Bryan Adams had a 16-week stay at the top of the UK Singles Chart with "Everything I Do (I Do It For You)" and Richard Branson took the first transpacific hot-air balloon flight.

Where were you born?

I was born at my parents home in Great Barr, Birmingham.

Is that where you grew up?

I started my life in Birmingham, then we moved to Burnham and the final part of my childhood and teenage years was spent in Slough.

Are you still living in the area you grew up in?

If you saw my #Blogtober16 post, "Five Cool Things About Peterborough" you will know that I now live with my family a little while away from my family in Peterborough.

Are you an only child?

I am the eldest of three children born to my dad and mum. I have two younger brothers. Samuel - the middle brother - is 18 months younger than me and was born in 1992. Joshua - the youngest brother - is three and a half years younger than me and was born in 1994.

What is your favourite colour?

I always used to love neutral, autumnal colours. Although I still love these colours, since having my little girl pink has become a big part of my life and I love it.

What is your favourite animal?

You may already know the answer to this one if you read my #Blogtober16 post, "My Favourite Animal" you will know I absolutely adore horses. I do not get to ride or spend much time around them anymore, but that does not change the fact that they have always been - and will always be - my favourite animal.

Who is your favourite artist / band?

I don't think I could possibly choose one, I love so many different artists and bands. Some of my favourites include Adele; Coldplay; Michael Buble; and Usher.

What is your favourite TV programme?

This is another question that cannot simply be answered with one answer. You can check out my top choices in my #Blogtober16 post "My Favourite TV Programmes". Some that I love that are not listed there are Arrow; Flash; Supergirl; and currently I am enjoying Hooten and the Lady.

What was your dream job?

When I was a child I had plenty of different ideas about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote about this for #Blogtober16 here. In the end I decided that my favourite job would be to become a teacher in a primary school. I have not ended up in this role, however it is still something that I am looking into for the future.

What was your first job?

My first ever job was as a part time babysitter and nanny for a family friend. After that my first job in the real world was as a Christmas temp in Primark. I stayed on and made my way up to supervisor there. It was the start of my managerial career.

What is your job now?

I am a full time mummy at the moment, mainly just concentrating on being pregnant, being a mum and writing my blog! After maternity leave, I will re open my order books and return to my little business, Mama Naii's Crochet.

How long have you been blogging?

I have only been blogging since August 2016, which makes me a baby in the blogging community. I love it though, and I am so glad that Filipa from Gourmet Mum encouraged me to begin this journey.

Who is your idol?

I have people that I look up to for different areas of my life. From parenting to making choices, different influences come in to play. I think my current biggest influence is a marriage that I aspire to. My dad's parents have been married for over fifty years. I hope that John and I can have as successful a life together as they do.

Are you single, living with your partner or married?

I live at home with my husband.

Do you have any children?

I have a two year old daughter and we are due a second little girl in December this year.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself doing what I love. I will be a mother to a seven year old and a four year old; I will be continuing to build my business, Mama Naii's Crochet; and I would love to have built Me Becoming Mum into a successful award winning blog that reaches out and touches many lives.
