Today's post for Donnas Living Arrows linky is all about this weekend's party to celebrate my parents-in-law both turning 60! It was a lovely night and we all had a great time.

Squidgy

Squidgy loves dressing Up, so partied the night away in her gorgeous Monsoon glittery, sequin, purple dress that my mum bought a few months ago. She was the life of the party, stealing hearts and making lots of friends.

Of course the best thing was seeing her interact with her cousin. Unfortunately they don't see each other often but when they do they are (mostly) the best of friends. Playing on the dance floor with balloons or dancing around like mad was how they spent most of the night, which was a fantastic way to wear them both out!

Little L

On the walk up to the venue, Little L fell asleep in her pushchair but of course it wasn't long before she woke up and was showing off to everyone. She ate so much food; had hugs with anyone and everyone who wanted one; showed off her walking skills; and charmed all the guests and made loads of new friends, just like her elder sister!

It was so nice to be able to celebrate with my in-laws and everyone, including our girls, had a wonderful night. It was good for me too... everyone wanted to have cuddles and help look after Squidgy and Little L which gave me a much needed break. Strange to think the next 'big' birthday celebration will be Little L's first birthday. I can't believe how quickly that is coming around!

Last week I had the opportunity to attend Blog Camp on Board, a get together of Bloggers on a cruise ship in Southampton. On the way down I visited a friend of mine before dropping off my girls at my parents. Today's photo for Donna's linky is from that day.

Squidgy decided that she wanted to have a cuddle with her little sister and asked "Aunty" Fleeps if she could be put on her lap. It was the cutest thing as they say there together having a cuddle. Little L wasn't in the best mood but she snuggled into her sister and sat so nicely!

They make me so happy, and I love seeing the bond they have growing day by day!

This week for Donna's Living Arrows linky includes a couple of photos from our impromptu weekend away that we have just got back from. It was so lovely to have a few days as a family, especially after John has been working long, hard hours at work recently.

Squidgy

One of our favourite things to do when we visit the beach is to pop in to the local arcade and play on the 2p machines, and of course Squidgy loves a ride on a couple of the rides inside too! This one was really old, but it had horses which automatically made it a winner!

Little L

Little L enjoys everything, and she is so full of personality and excitement. She loved exploring the caravan; from pulling the curtains and trying to get through the window to crawling and walking around the floor to see if there was new things to discover in each corner of the room.

I love having time away with my family, and can't wait for our next holiday, whenever that may be.

The Ultimate Four Season Gardening Guide

I love gardening but it was only when we moved to Peterborough that we finally had a proper garden to plant things in. I have tried in the last few years to keep on top of it but that is not always easy; especially now that we have two little ones running about the place. It's made even more difficult by me having little to no idea about when to plant bulbs and seeds to get the perfect coverage all year around, but I have been determined to try, especially since Squidgy started taking an interest!

Today's photos for Donna's Living Arrows is from my baby brother's wedding last week.

Family

It was the first time since my girls came into our lives that we had my mum and nan (her mum!) together with us so we had to take a photo of the four generations of girls!

Twinning

The next photo is of my girls together in their matching dresses. Squidgy was a flower girl and loved every minute. Little L just loved being in the big dress, and playing with all the material! I think they look beautiful, don't you?

I will be doing a post in the next few weeks, talking all about my brother's wedding and showing you all some more photos, so keep an eye out for that. For now, that's another week of Living Arrows done and dusted!

Little L's Christening

After a whole lot of planning and plenty of stressful moments (what's the Christening planning equivelant of a Bridezilla? Yeah, that was me!) we finally managed to get everything sorted and pull off another pretty lovely Christening!

This week for Donna's Living Arrows linkie, I of course have to share some photos from Little L's Christening last week! My girls looked so fabulous in their pretty dresses and I was so pleased with how the day went. I will of course be sharing about the day later this week, but for now here is a sneaky peak!

Little L

Usually I would show pictures of my girls in order of their age, but as it was her special day, I've decided to share Little L first. She looked absolutely beautiful in her stunning Christening gown from Roco Clothing and I was so pleased that she continued to be the happiest baby ever, full of smiles and love; definitely enjoying being the centre of attention!

Squidgy

I absolutely love this picture of Squidgy, she looks so innocent and happy, and I was so pleased with how well she behaved the whole time. She looked so grown up in her lovely Debenhams dress, and was a perfect doting big sister; that is until she discovered that there was other children to play with, which turned out to be so much more fun!

This week's post for Donna's Living Arrows linkie includes a couple of shots I captured over the weekend when we visiting my in-laws and helped out at Egham Royal Show. It's amazing to see the girls having such amazing good time there, the same as their daddy did as a little boy and his dad before him!

Me Becoming Mum's Newborn Baby "Must Haves"

Me Becoming Mum's Newborn Baby "Must Haves"

Obviously everyone knows that your baby is going to need nappies and clothes. It's also a given that you will need somewhere for them to sleep, as well as a car seat and a pushchair. However there are so many additional extras when you are shopping for your little one, that it is hard to know what is essential and what you can live without. So I have written my list of must haves for when your newborn arrives.

We had an interesting week last week... Squidgy decided to fully embrace being a threenager and if you saw my post on Instagram about her epic tantrum regarding the wrong plate at lunch time, you will understand what I'm talking about. Instead of sharing that fun photo for this week's Living Arrows I thought I would share a happier moment from our week.

Me Becoming Mum's Essentials for Cruising with Children

Me Becoming Mum's Essentials for Cruising with Children

After a fabulous couple of weeks on the Cunard Queen Elizabeth cruise ship, we have come away thinking that cruising is definitely the way forward for travelling abroad with children. There is so much available on board that it can be hard to know what to take with you for you and your children. I have written two posts to cover off everything you need to take with you. In the first post I listed my essentials for adults, and in this one I will be sharing the items you need for your children!
