I have struggled putting together John’s stocking this year, unlike the girls who are easy to buy smaller, budget friendly gifts for, he doesn’t need anything. However I do still have a few ideas and so I thought I would write up a short post to share them with you today.

There must be a few things a bath won’t fix, but I don’t know of many!

Bomb cosmetics bath time gift set*

John has used the same bath and shower products for the whole ten years we have been together, mostly Lynx Africa (which is super cliche I know!) When it comes to stocking fillers for him it is a great time to mix things up a bit and so bath products are a great, budget friendly option. This year John has this Bomb Cosmetics bath gift set* from Find Me a Gift which is a unique, manly option! Plus it comes beautifully wrapped which saves me a job.

If life gives you lemons, make a gin and tonic.

Dingle Distillery gin*

John and I both love a gin and tonic, and there is nothing better than popping a lovely gin and tonic into our gin glasses and enjoying a cold drink after dinner. We have tried a number of different gin brands, but there is something special about supporting home brands, like Dingle Distillery* which is an Irish brand. Not only do they offer this beautiful, fresh, delicious gin (which I have most enjoyed with elderflower!) but they also have whiskey and vodka too!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Bottle opener

Unless the man in your life is teetotal,  a bottle opener makes a fine addition to their stocking this Christmas. You can find such fun different options. John had an Everton one a few years ago which is also a magnet so sits on our fridge all year round. This year I found a fantastic Santa one to add in, which will only come out at Christmas but was fun and cheap!

Age doesn't define maturity, some people will never grow up.

Lego mini figures

Whoever said that Lego is a toy and so only for children was wrong. Really wrong. John loves Lego, possible more than the girls do! He has the most amazing large sets like a giant Yoda and Millenium Falcon but obviously they aren't really stocking filler ideas. Mini figures however are budget friendly and come in so many options, including Christmas ones! They make fabulous stocking fillers for him.

Families are like fudge; mostly sweet with a few nuts.

Copperpot Cornish clotted cream fudge*

In our family I am the one with a massive sweet tooth however there are a few treats that you can never go wrong with when it comes to picking our stocking fillers for him. One of John’s favourite treats is a good quality fudge. This cute box of Copperpot Cornish Clotted Cream Fudge* from Souschef is the perfect size to fit inside John’s homemade stocking and I know that he is going to love it. It is the original clotted cream flavour (he’s not a massive fan of weird flavour options!) The best part for me is that Copperpot is not only British but also a family run business!

It’s gonna be a ‘knock your socks off’ thing.

Socks

Socks are always a good bet for popping inside the man in your life’s stocking. John makes holes in socks like they are going out of fashion, and the ones that he doesn’t tend to disappear one of a pair at a time to the sock monster. You can buy cheap, good quality, fun socks from budget friendly stores like Primark and supermarkets too! I love having a look in places like Asda and Tesco too.

Every time I say the word ‘diet’ I wash my mouth out with chocolate.

Miniature chocolate boxes and bars

We had a little surprise popped inside a parcel we recieved for the girls from the lovely team at Clintons and I have tucked this Lindt chocolate* it away to pop into John’s stocking for Christmas. There are so many options when it comes to choosing Christmas stocking fillers in the form of chocolate. Most brands do smaller versions of their bars, or miniature boxes so you can get more that fit into the stocking and fill up on treats for the man with a sweet tooth.

Accept all kinds of people, even those who use mild sauce.

Encona Limited Edition Carolina Reaper Chilli Sauce

This next stocking filler may not be right for John (who much prefers a mild sauce!) but with the addition of the Carolina Reaper chilli, Encona Limited Edition Carolina Reaper Chilli Sauce* is perfect for any hot headed male’s stocking. Our friend puts hot sauce on everything and this would be the perfect gift for him, plus when it comes to stocking fillers this couldn’t be better as it is definitely budget friendly at just £1.49 a bottle. Even better it is gluten free and suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

A picture is worth a thousand words but the memory is priceless.

Photo magnets

I had the opportunity to work with Cheerz to review some of their products (read the review here!) but I have to say that one of my favourites has to be the amazing photo magnets. I have a wide selection of photos of our lives together and of course our children all hidden away ready to pop in his stocking. I loved them so much I even ordered some more as gifts for family!

What’s in your head determines what’s in your wallet.

Wallets for football fanatics

John is a massive Everton fan, and whilst branded football merchandise may not be the most budget friendly gift to buy for him, I have been lucky to find some really good cheaper gifts over the years. This Everton FC Official embossed money wallet Black† is one such gift. I think it is such a nice little stocking filler idea, and after years of using the same wallet which was falling apart, John was well over due a replacement.

Love looks through a telescope; envy a microscope.

Telescope phone camera lens

John and I love to take photos, and previously having a selection of lenses for my phone (including macro, extra wide and fish bowl) made John want something of his own. The Mobile telescope* from Menkind is a great addition to the accessories you can get for your phone. It works really well, actually surprising me when I first gave it a go (because I had to test it out… obviously!) It allows you to focus the photo on items up to three meters away as well as have a 9 degree angle of view, so you don’t lose the surroundings!

I hope you now have some inspiration for Christmas stocking fillers for him. You have just a few weeks to get your shopping done so why not pick up your favourite stocking fillers as soon as possible?!

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas from my growing family and me this year!
