Father's Day seems to creep up on me every year. These past few months have flown by and suddenly we're in June, half way through 2022 and about to celebrate another Father's Day. Here are some top gift ideas for Father's Day to treat your dad this year.

When is Father's Day in the UK 2022?

The date of Father's Day 2022 in the UK is Sunday 19th June. Read on to discover my top Father's Day gifts from sweet treats to their favourite tipple.

Time with the family gifts

Days out for free

Sometimes it's less about ‘stuff’, and more about spending quality time together with the children. We love exploring the many amazing spaces we have available here in Cumbria. Whether we're hiking up fells in the Lake District National Park or exploring English Heritage sites across the county the best place to be is together.

Hobby gifts

For foodies

In the 200+ years since the first curry house was opened in London, we have developed a huge love for Indian cuisine, and it is now one of the most popular choices in the UK. Spice Kitchen is a small, family run business - a mother and son in fact! - who offer a stunning selection of spices sure to help anyone jazz up their meals at home. I wish there was an option to share with you the amazing aroma that circulated upon opening the package with the Indian Spice Tin* inside. Plus, just look at how beautifully packaged the spice tin is. I cannot wait to see what John is able to put together with this (after he receives it on Father's Day of course!)

For bird lovers

My dad has loved birds (the winged creature kind!) for as long as I can remember. My childhood garden was filled with bird baths, houses and feeders and the house filled with books, pictures and more. Obviously when Henry Bell* offered to send some products for inclusion here, I knew they were an ideal choice. Living in the Highlands of Scotland means my parents have no shortage of wildlife to enjoy, and the range of products available from this lovely family owned business including their heavy duty bird feeders and high quality bird food make ideal gifts for my dad and any other nature loving guy this Father's Day. The best part is they're not just online, you can find their products in 400 garden centres nationwide (including places like Dobbies.)

Photo gifts

Family photos framed to display

How many of us are guilty of taking photos and having them sit on our phones, computers, hard drives and more, store but never displayed? When it comes to picking out a gift this Father's Day, I highly recommend choosing a few favourite photos to print. Then you can frame them or even better print them on canvas.

A photobook full of memories

Having a collection of photos in one place in the form of a Cewe photobook is a great choice of gift for Father's Day 2022. Personalise the style, add your photos, and add text to each page to create a gift full of you memories. Plus, you select other customisable options from a hardback or soft cover, to the type of binding, and even different paper variations. Alternatively, if photobooks aren't your thing, why not order a personalised photo gift to show your photos off such as a mug, phone case or cushion?

Personalised gifts

A new wallet or card holder

A unique, personalised gift is always a winner for me. Shopping for gifts from Boutique Gifts never disappoints. With ideas for every recipient and every occasion, it's the best place to find a personalised gift for every dad. From small items like John's new Oyster Card Holder* personalised with our children's initials, to larger items such as doormats and cushions you're sure to find the perfect Father's Day gift this year.

Useful gifts

Bicycle repair kit*

With John finally working local after so long of travelling away from home - and the rising petrol prices - his bike is getting more use than ever to ensure he can get to work and back. With that in mind, what could be better for Father's Day this year, than a pocket size Bicycle Repair Kit* from Sugru? It comes in a small, light tin with everything you need for quick repairs on the go. It is a fab Father's Day gift idea, ideal for keeping in dad's bag when he's out and about with his bike.

New sunglasses

The more time you spend outside with your family, the more gifts you choose are influenced by this fact. With our once or twice a week jaunts into the heart of Lakeland or Northumberland for hikes and other days out, we need to make sure we have all the suitable bits with us to be safe and happy on our travels. Shopping with Trendhim gives you access to a range of fantastic products from accessories such as belts and wallets to bigger budget items such as bags and the amazing Otsu sunglasses with interchangeable lenses* I chose for John. You're bound to find something to suit the father figure in your life with Trendhim.

The perfect set of frying pans

Lifetime Brands offer a range of products that make ideal gifts this Father's Day for all the dads who love getting their hands dirty in the kitchen, mixing up the perfect cocktail or grilling up a storm on the barbecue. From bar accessories to kitchen essentials like the KitchenCraft Non-Stick Frying Pan set* I chose for John, there are plenty of products to suit most every dad and every budget too! You only have to spend £20 to get free UK delivery, and if you act fast they have a great sale on with up to 70% off products across a variety of ranges.

Traditional shaving brush and more

John prefers the clean shaven look. For men like him Clear Confidence have vegan and eco-friendly personal care items which make fantastic Father's Day gifts. Their products are all 100% vegan (no animal products and no animal testing!) and from their double edge safety razor to their plant-based shaving brush* you're guaranteed to find plastic free, traditional wet shave products to suit even the most eco-conscious of men this Father's Day.

Don't forget the card (and wrap!)

Once you've picked out your gifts, it's time to wrap them, write the card and get them ready to give to their recipient. With a little help from Danilo* you can pick out everything from the perfect card (and even personalise them too!) to wrapping paper to suit every dad's taste. Obviously my Toffee husband is going to love his Everton wrapping paper, and the children are obsessed with Mr Men so we couldn't have chosen a better card from them... this Mr Men card is perfect (and a little funny too!)

All that is left to say is...

Happy Father's Day

… to my amazing husband John and I can't wait to see what adventures the rest of our parenting journey together has to offer.

To all the other daddy's out there, I hope you have a wonderful Father's Day and are able to enjoy special moments and time with your children.
