Is it suitable for children?
Although we visited for me (due to my obsession with Alice in Wonderland!) this is definitely suitable for children. Ours all loved it. If you want to spend a little longer at Culzean Castle, there are other activities available such as the Adventure Cove play area.
Can you take dogs to Culzean Castle?
Dogs on leads are allowed to visit Culzean Castle although you must stick to the outdoor areas. This includes visiting the gardens, woodlands, and coastal paths, which means you can do the Brick Wonderland trail with your family and pup!
N.B. Dogs are not permitted inside the castle itself, the adventure playgrounds, or the shops. Assistance dogs are welcome in all areas.
Is there anywhere to eat?
Whether you fancy bringing a picnic or grabbing a bite to eat there are plenty of options. Culzean Castle has spots to grab a lite bite or a more hearty meal including the Home Farm Kitchen, Old Stables Coffee House, Swan Pond Café, and Avery Ice Cream Parlour.
Are there facilities available?
Culzean Castle has a number of facilities available to ensure you have plenty of spots to stop if you're heading out for a nice long walk across the estate. There are accessible toilets and changing facilities in addition to toilets at Home Farm and Adventure Cove, in addition to accessible toilets at the castle itself.
We had the best day at Culzean Castle and we can't wait to return and explore the estate again. It makes a perfect day out and it was even more special thanks to the LEGO Alice in Wonderland characters. Now you have all the details you need to visit yourself, and I hope you have the best day, just like we did.
