Wishlist for the Future | Blogtober 2018 | Me Becoming Mum

You'd think this would be an easy topic to write about. Everyone has dreams, aspirations and wishes for the future. Unfortunately I got a bit of a writer's block. I decided to start with subtitles and just write. So, here are my wishes for the future, for my family and me.

I wish for a forever home.

John and I have moved four times in the past nine years, and each time we have rented. We have lived in some lovely homes, and nice areas but I wish we could have a forever home. I want to be able to buy a house we can make our own, a place we can raise our girls and put down roots. We actually have set some goals for this. Fingers crossed we will very soon be making our way back up into the cheaper north and buying our own house, a place we can call home.

I wish we could have John around more.

John works long, hard hours to provide for his family. Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the fact his job allows me to be a stay at home mama. However we all find it hard not seeing enough of him. With Squidgy in school, the girls going to bed earlier and him doing 50+ hours a week we miss out on having him around.

I wish I could make a stable income from my self employment.

I love being self employed. It gives me so many wonderful opportunities, and allows me to dictate my own schedule and so be there for my girls. Unfortunately the income I receive from the combination of my blog, my freelance writing and Mama Naii's Crochet is sporadic at best. This means some months I get a lot, whilst others I am left with nothing. I would love for the income to be reliable, and allow me to contribute more.

I wish for my girls to grow up happy and healthy.

I'm pretty sure that every parent has this wish. However after battling with all sorts of health issues (both myself and the girls) this is especially true for me.  All I want is to be able to raise strong, independant children who are loving, caring, and happy. I love them so much and want the best for them, whatever that may be.

There are so many things I could write about but these are my biggest wishes at the moment. Do you have wishes for yourself and your family? Feel free to share them in the comments below.
