Roco Clothing Christening Gown | Review | Me Becoming Mum

When it came to Christening Little L, we had to make sure that everything was perfect, just as it was for her big sister 3 years ago. We had a near perfect day, and one way this was made possible was with the amazing Christening gown from Roco Clothing.

As you may have seen in last week's Living Arrows post, and the post I published about Little L's Christening, we had the most stunning Christening gown from Roco Clothing which was absolutely perfect, and I couldnโ€™t have envisioned it being any better than it was. Having this stunning gown though has made me so happy, and it is in perfect condition still, so I hope that it can be a little family heirloom to allow any more daughters that we are blessed with to wear it, and one day maybe my grandchildren (although I think this is very early to be thinking that far ahead!)

I loved dressing Little L up on the day, and making sure she looked as perfect as possible for such a special occasion. She has such a beautiful smile and it was so lovely to see her enjoying herself and loving being the center of attention on the day. Of course wearing such an amazing Christening gown like this one from Roco Clothing is one thing, but wearing a smile just makes the whole outfit complete! I think seeing her beaming face actually makes the gown look even better than it does on its own, which of course it definitely did.

I think my favourite part of the Roco Clothing Christening gown had to be the skirt. For me the length and layers were exactly what I see in my mind when people talk about this type of dress. We were lucky (in a way) that the weather was not that nice, despite the fact that we held the Christening towards the end of summer. The fact that it was cool meant that we didn't have to worry about Little L being tucked up inside all those layers. She certainly enjoyed being in the gown, and even gave crawling away when we did the photos in Church a good go!

As with a number of Roco Clothing's Christening gowns, this one was covered in the most beautiful appliques, sequins, beads and pearls. The floral swirls were placed in a wonderful pattern across the bodice and around the bottom of the skirt, as well as a few scattered across the body of the skirt material. Combine these gorgeous appliques and patterns with layers of silk and tulle and some gorgeous puff sleeves and you have a perfect attention grabbing gown for any little one's special day.

The first accessory that we were sent to accompany the beautiful Roco Clothing Christening gown, was their silk headband. I love little baby girls with headbands on, and (if I do say so myself) our youngest daughter looked totally gorgeous with this one on. I can't get over how cute she is at the best of times, but when it comes to looking at these photos I simply melt inside.

Another accessory to the outfit that we had was the gorgeous organza shoes which were so soft and easy to put on, with their gorgeous little bows tied like little Mary Janes. For a baby that has growing feet and is not yet walking these were a perfect accessory to have, and looked so super cute, especially when we changed Little L into her party dress for after the Christening ceremony (because there was no way I was letting her eat food and crawl around in her beautiful Roco Clothing Christening gown!)

The final (and my favourite) finishing touch to her Roco Clothing outfit, was the silky bloomers complete with the cutest little bows! There is something simply adorable about a pair of cute little chunky legs tucked away inside a pair of bloomers that just make me smile. Unlike some that my daughters have worn in the past, these left no elastic marks on Little L's legs, and didn't seem to cause her to overheat or feel uncomfortable. I would even go as far as saying she didn't even notice that she was wearing them!

I'm sure by the sheer amount of times in the last couple of weeks that I have bored you all half to death written enthusiastically about the gorgeous outfit that Little L wore to her Christening, you have gathered that I would highly recommend Roco Clothing for all the special occasions that require your little one to dress up. They offer a wide range of products for boys and girls, from babies to wear to their Christenings to dresses for flower girls at weddings. Make sure you check out the Roco Clothing website for any and every special occasion you have coming up!
