We’ve made it. We’re over half way with our surprise fourth baby. I'm sure you all know by now that at twenty weeks you get another scan. As per usual, we have yet another active baby (who caused problems for the sonographer!) but thankfully we found out all the important things. Baby is healthy and growing well and in addition we were lucky enough to find out our baby's sex.

Remember our previous announcements?

If you’ve been around for a while you may well remember we’ve used a variety of gender reveal ideas in the past. Squidgy’s was before I started my blog but I wrote about Pickle’s gender reveal and Munchkin's gender reveal on my blog. The main photos we used are below:

So, what are we having?

It's a Girl!

How we revealed

After trawling Pinterest and Instagram, I found a few ideas of ways to share our big news… this after all could be our last baby, so we had to make it special! Here's what John and I ended up choosing:

What we used

If you’re a little curious about the different items that we used to put our gender reveal together, or simply want to go ahead and buy them to create your own, click any of the linked images below†.

  • For the box of balloons we used to tell the girls, we ordered the glitter card cut-outs of “Little Sister or Little Mister” from JaimeLynnUK - a lovely small business who has made tonnes of cake toppers and other items I have used over the years.

  • We chose the Ginger Ray confetti cannon to tell our family via Zoom (thanks to lockdown and Covid restrictions meaning we couldn’t see them and tell them in person!)

  • We used the Ginger Ray smoke bomb for my reveal.

  • For John’s reveal, the girls already had the “I’m a big sister” tees from Amazon†, so all I needed to do was buy a matching “I’m the big brother” one for Munchkin - which was also from Amazon†. I have linked to both above.

  • Finally, I ordered a bespoke, matching vest from the amazing Pretty Personal - the amazing small business I ordered the children’s pregnancy announcement tees from.

So, there we go. I'm going to be mama to three daughters and one son. With a houseful of women, John made me agree to let him and Munchkin have a man cave - and I guess it's the least I can do!

Here's to the final 19 weeks or so being easier than the first 21… but whatever happens, I'm grateful to have a healthy baby continuing to grow.
