I always feel a little strange writing up this blog post every year. My husband is so good at buying me gifts (usually encouraged by our girls!) but then I remember that sometimes even the best of us need a little help and pointer in the right direction. Here are a few of my top gifts for her birthday this year.

Born in colder months like me? The lady in your life is likely to love a hot drink for her birthday! This doesn't have to be anything special. You could purchase a gift voucher for her favourite coffee shop, take her out on a coffee date or even put together a hamper of drinks and snacks. For mums like me though, a great gift is time. Time to enjoy the hot drink without a million things needing doing or a child interrupting.

Everyone needs a break, whether it's from the daily grind of work; or from 24/7 calls of “muuuummmmy” while raising children at home.
A day out with the kids
As much as most mums would love a break for their birthday, sometimes it's just as good to spend some quality time with your children! I feel this especially the case for me, with Squidgy in school Monday to Friday. I miss her, and love any opportunity to get out and enjoy some quality time with her and Pickle.
